The Walford couple are currently experiencing turbulent times in their marriage amid the family's ongoing financial problems and the constant interference of Zainab's ex-husband Yusef (Ace Bhatti).
Recent reports have suggested that things will get worse for the pair in the coming weeks as Yusef steps up his attempts to split them up.
However, speaking to Inside Soap about whether the duo could break up for good, Ganatra commented: "The beauty of the Masoods is that they work so well as a family unit. Divorce? Now that would be a shame! I think it's much better to keep them together.
"There are already so many families who are fragmented on the show. The Masoods need to be kept together to represent the minority of long-lasting happy relationships that do exist!"
Ganatra added that he would not be opposed to Zainab (Nina Wadia) reuniting with Yusef temporarily to provide further drama in the storyline.
He said: "In a way, I'd like to see Zainab go off with Yusef because I'd love to see Masood fighting to win his wife back from him!"
