POTD: Ricky bids farewell to Albert Square

EastEnders favourite Ricky Butcher says an emotional farewell to his family as he leaves to take up his new job in Dubai in tonight's episode of the soap.
As the devoted dad prepares to depart, his life is made difficult as the children are rebelling in protest at his decision to leave, while Carol also disapproves of his choice.
Ricky remains determined that he's doing the right thing as he needs to put food on the table, but it's not until Eddie Moon has a word with Liam that the kids finally accept what's happening.
Later, Ricky says his goodbyes and leaves as planned, leaving the children in the care of Pat and Carol.
EastEnders airs tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
