Ryan Malloy's final EastEnders storyline will see him go on the run following an explosive showdown with evil pimp Rob Grayson, a report has claimed.

The Queen Vic barman is bowing out from the BBC soap as Neil McDermott has decided to leave the role after two years.

McDermott and his screen sibling Shona McGarty have now been pictured shooting emotional farewell scenes as the show's on-location filming in Southend, Essex continues.

According to The Sun, Ryan decides to flee following a massive fight with Rob on the pier at the seaside resort.

Fearing that the police will catch up with him for what he has done to Rob, Ryan reportedly says goodbye to half-sister Whitney before doing a runner. Whitney is believed to help him by securing some cash to assist his getaway plan.

In the storyline, Whitney was sexually exploited by Rob earlier this year, leaving Ryan furious when he later found out what had happened. Jody Latham has reprised his role as Rob to conclude the plot.

Malloy's exit scenes are expected to air later in the summer.
