POTD: 'EastEnders' Whitney comes face-to-face with Rob

EastEnders' Whitney Dean is left horrified as evil pimp Rob Grayson makes a surprise return to her life in tonight's episode of the soap.

When Whitney arrives at the park for a planned date with Lee, she's startled as Rob turns up instead - claiming that he's back to apologise and say goodbye before heading home to Manchester, where his mum is unwell.

Despite her reservations, Whitney finds herself being charmed by Rob (Jody Latham) once again despite their dark history. However, when Whitney sends a text message to Lee and Rob's phone immediately beeps, the penny drops and she realises that she's been set up…



Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney, recently told Digital Spy: "When Rob returns, it's the worst thing that's happened to Whitney in her life - she relives all of those dreaded moments. Whitney was sexually exploited but I'm not sure that she even fully realises that she was - she finds it very hard to speak about it.

"So you can imagine that when Whitney sees Rob for the first time in such a long time, she's absolutely devastated. She feels like it's happening all over again and she doesn't know where to go…"

EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
