POTD: 'EastEnders' heartbreak for Kat and Alfie

EastEnders couple Kat and Alfie Moon face fresh tragedy in tonight's episode of the soap as they lose their unborn baby.

Just after Alfie (Shane Richie) has visited the surgery and received confirmation that he is not infertile after all, Kat has a scare at the Queen Vic as she clutches her stomach and realises something is wrong.

Later, at the hospital, Kat (Jessie Wallace) heads into the treatment room alone before emerging to tell Alfie that she has miscarried.

Although Kat tries to pretend like everything is okay when she returns to The Vic, she soon lets her true feelings show and vows that she is done with the heartbreak of trying for children. Will this cause more problems for the Moons' marriage?
