POTD: 'EastEnders' Zainab overdoses on pills

EastEnders introduces a dark new twist to Zainab's ongoing story this evening as Yusef crushes up a dangerous amount of pills into her food.
Yusef (Ace Bhatti) resorts to desperate measures when Zainab tells him that she wants to come off the sleeping tablets completely, believing that they're clouding her mind.
Zainab informs Yusef that a clear head will allow her to focus on what's important to her - including reuniting with Masood (Nitin Ganatra). This is unwelcome news for the scheming doctor, who is unwilling to relinquish his control over Zainab.
Putting a new plan into action, Yusef seizes an opportunity when he is left alone in Zainab's kitchen - spiking her meal with pills.
Later, when Zainab (Nina Wadia) loses consciousness and collapses onto the sofa, Yusef places a pill bottle into her hand before leaving the house. Will Zainab be found in time to rescue her and will her family think that she's made a suicide attempt?
EastEnders airs tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
