'EastEnders' explosion aftermath secures 10.4m

EastEnders soared above the 10m mark on Tuesday evening in the aftermath of the B&B explosion, overnight figures show.

EastEnders pulled in 10.44m (42.0%) on BBC One at 7.30pm as Albert Square's residents tried to come to terms with the devastating events of Christmas night. BBC Three's repeat screening took 823k (4.3%) at 10pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 5.94m (24.7%) at 8pm as Elliot faced an impossible dilemma.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.74m (28.7%) at 7pm and 301k (1.3%) on +1 for the latest troubles in Debbie and Cameron's relationship.

Hollyoaks managed 873k (3.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4, while E4's first look screening mustered 346k (1.5%) at 7pm.
