Pam St Clement on 'EastEnders' exit: 'I feared Pat would become dull'

Her alter ego Pat Evans, who has resided in Albert Square since 1986, passed away last night in a special 70-minute episode.
St Clement told The Mirror: "As an actor I am a great believer in leaving the stage while they still want more.
"My greatest fear is that you will bore the audience. And once that thought has popped into your head you then have to go through with the practicalities of it."
St Clement has previously praised BBC bosses for the dramatic manner of Pat's exit.
