'EastEnders' Derek, Moon plot secures 8.4m

EastEnders stayed above the 8m mark on Tuesday evening as Derek Branning's latest illegal scheme backfired, overnight figures show.

EastEnders pulled in 8.35m (36.6%) at 7.30pm as Derek was caught out by the police following a tip-off from Michael. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 804k (4.0%) at 10pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 5.32m (22.2%) at 8pm as Sahira considered her future at the hospital.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.87m (31.8%) at 7pm and 182k (0.8%) on +1 as Cameron issued a warning to Andy.

Hollyoaks interested 1.13m (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Callum discovered George's latest setback, while E4's first look grabbed 521k (2.4%) at 7pm and 109k (0.5%) on timeshift.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours took 844k (10.3%) at 1.45pm and 1.19m (6.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 878k (4.5%) at 6pm and 450k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Crocodile Tears' - was seen by 1.75m (21.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
