POTD: 'EastEnders' Dot Branning makes an important discovery

EastEnders' Dot Branning does some detective work of her own in tonight's (March 27) episode as her nephew Andrew remains the prime suspect for Heather Trott's murder.

The police investigation continues this evening as a piece of burnt-out clothing is found at the allotments following Phil and Ben's visit. As it's quickly identified as one of the blue stag night hoodies, the authorities realise that it could be a vital clue in the case.

Soon afterwards, detectives turn up at Dot's house with a search warrant as they're eager to find out whether Andrew's hoodie is there. However, they're unable to find it, meaning that things look even worse for the grief-stricken doorman - who's now suspected of destroying evidence.

Taking matters into her own hands, Dot (June Brown) teams up with Cora (Ann Mitchell) and Rose (Polly Perkins), breaking into the R&R to see whether they can find the hoodie themselves. To the trio's relief, they find the item hanging up in Andrew's locker - but will this be enough to clear his name?
