POTD: 'EastEnders' Ben, Jay under pressure

 |  By  |  5 comments
EastEnders' Ben and Jay Mitchell face more pressure as they're forced to give a reading at Heather Trott's funeral in tonight's (April 12) episode of the soap.

Phil (Steve McFadden) can sense that the boys are dreading the service, but before they leave, he tries to convince them that they'll be able to move on from Heather's murder once today is over.

At the church, Shirley (Linda Henry) gives a moving tribute to Heather, listing everything that she'll miss about her best friend. It's then Ben and Jay's turn to speak in front of Heather's loved ones.

Jay (Jamie Borthwick) manages to stay calm, but killer Ben (Joshua Pascoe) is close to cracking as he makes a passionate speech about how Heather didn't deserve her grisly fate. Angered by his son's near-confession, can Phil convince Ben to carry on keeping quiet?

Ben and Jay struggle to hold it together.
