The actor, who plays Queen Vic boss Alfie Moon, explained that he already has a wish list of acts in mind who could perform at the event.
Richie told The Sun's TV Buzz magazine: "We'd call it The Queen V Festival. We'd like to try to do it after the Olympics.
"I've asked Coldplay and Adele - they haven't said yes, but they haven't said no either."
He continued: "At least I know Adele's an EastEnders fan because she has episodes shipped to her wherever she is in the world!"
The 48-year-old added that he remains close to on-screen wife Jessie Wallace (Kat) once the cameras stop rolling at EastEnders.
"I speak to her everyday and we go out with our kids at weekends," he explained. "She even came down to see my band, Shane Richie And The Prelude, play recently.
"One half of the venue is a strip club so Jessie, bless her, turned up with all her mates, and the strippers were like, 'There's Kat!' I keep trying to get Jessie up on stage to sing with me. She's got a great voice."
