Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.34m (33.3%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 125k (0.6%) on +1 as grave news about Sarah was delivered, while the fallout for Debbie and Cameron interested 5.79m (26.2%) at 8pm and 250k (1.1%) on timeshift.
After Emmerdale, The Corrie Years on ITV1 appealed to 3.13m (14.2%) at 8.30pm and 159k (0.7%) an hour later.
Also airing in the 8pm hour, Janeece's final Waterloo Road episode brought 3.64m (16.5%) to BBC One.
Hollyoaks grabbed 808k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the aftermath of baby Bobby's disappearance, while E4's first look remained higher than usual with 669k (3.5%) at 7pm and 115k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 597k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 905k (6.4%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 609k (3.6%) at 6pm and 417k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.37m (21.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
