'EastEnders' Tony Discipline: 'I support Lauren, Joey plot'

By
EastEnders star Tony Discipline has insisted that he doesn't mind watching his real-life girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa's romance scenes on the soap.

Jossa's character Lauren Branning is currently pining for her cousin Joey (David Witts) following a short-lived relationship between the pair.

In real life, meanwhile, Discipline and Jossa have been dating for over a year.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Discipline - who plays Tyler Moon - confirmed that he has been tuning in for Lauren and Joey's scenes in recent weeks.

He commented: "I don't find it strange to watch - it is part of the job. We always support each other and Jacqueline always asks me how it looks. But it is part of our job."

Tyler has experienced quieter times in Walford over the past few months, but Discipline explained that things get busier for him again in 2013.

"Tyler has some very exciting storylines lined up but unfortunately my lips are sealed," he said. "All I can say is watch this space.

"My dream storyline would be for Tyler to own the Queen Vic with Alfie and have his name above the door!"

Discipline spoke to Digital Spy after taking part in a William Hill charity football match to raise money for Project Africa.

Of his involvement, he revealed: "Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) made me aware of the William Hill Project Africa charity and what a great charity it is. The match is a fantastic way of raising money for it.

"For people who couldn't attend the match, they can donate on williamhillprojectafrica.org/ and also find out lots more about the charity there."

The William Hill Foundation Cup took place to raise money for Project Africa, an initiative to help the Island School in Kenya improve their educational facilities. For more information or to donate visit williamhillprojectafrica.org/. Get the Inside Soap magazine on your iPhone or iPad
