Zainab Masood's sad Albert Square departure was watched by 8.04m (34.3%), while BBC Three's 10.30pm repeat grabbed 485,000 (3.1%).

While the figure shows a 200k rise for the soap week-on-week, Zainab's split from Masood on Thursday attracted a greater audience.

Coronation Street still topped the night, however, picking up 8.94m (38.7%) for its 7.30pm edition. Some 8.21m (33.9%) returned to Weatherfield as Tyrone and Fiz fled Manchester in the second half of the double bill at 8.30pm (+1: 154k).

Emmerdale, Debbie meets Pete, Fri 8 Feb
Emmerdale pulled in 7.05m (32.8%) as Debbie's dirty scheme got her into trouble, while Hollyoaks averaged 1m (4.8%) on Channel 4 and E4's first look nabbed 594k (2.8%) at 7pm (+1: 153k).

Earlier in the day, Doctors took 1.57m (20.9%) at 1.45pm, while Neighbours pulled in 734k (9.7%) but added 903k (5.5%) later on at 5.30pm.
