Chiefs are furious that plot twists are being told to national newspapers months before they are screened, ruining surprises for the soap's fans.
Pauline Fowler's Christmas Day death was exposed two months in advance by the press, and another leak revealed that she had been murdered by her husband Joe Macer.
Executive producer Diederick Santer told the Daily Star: "Our viewers enjoy titbits and pictures of upcoming storylines. But to have a storyline told in a newspaper four or five months in advance before it airs on screen is very disappointing for them and undermines the surprise element that is so important to their enjoyment."
A show source added: "Everyone is absolutely furious about this because it spoils it for everyone. There is a lengthy internal investigation which they hope will uncover who is behind the leaks."
