The actress, who played Zoe Slater, was horrified by the amount of personal details about cast members that made it into the newspapers.
Ryan, who is now starring in US sci-fi series The Bionic Woman, was also annoyed when she realised that some of her co-stars were desperate for fame.
"It wasn't a happy family all of the time," Michelle told The People. "It was partly people trying to get into the limelight. And there were leaks, people selling stories. It was like: 'Who can I trust?'"
