EastEnders staff members have been gossiping about a sex mystery sparked by one of the show's former stars.
Shaun Williamson, who played Barry Evans, revealed earlier this week that he once overheard two of his fellow cast members making love in the next dressing room. He refused to name the stars that he was talking about.
However, on-set gossip suggests that Williamson may have been referring to Lindsey Coulson (Carol Jackson) and Michael French (David Wicks), who were accused of having an affair in 1996.
A source told The Sun: "All the smart money here is on Michael and Lindsey. One of the security guards claims he caught them at it on set too."
There is also speculation that Williamson could have caught out Jessie Wallace, who played Kat Slater, and Perry Fenwick (Billy Mitchell). Even Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell) and Mike Reid, who played Frank Butcher, have been named as possibilities.
The insider added: "Mike and Babs are an outside bet. It's certainly the sort of thing frisky Frank would have been proud of. And Jessie's name keeps coming up in discussions on set. She's one of the biggest maneaters the show has seen."
