Jane Beale's gay brother cast in 'EastEnders'

Actor John Partridge is to play the role of Jane Beale's gay brother, it has been announced.
Partridge – who appeared in the BBC sitcom Game On - is to appear as Christian, who arrives in the Square after inviting his sister, Jane (Laurie Brett), to his civil ceremony.
With Jane undecided as to whether she should attend, Ian (Adam Woodyatt) hears of the invitation and invites Christian and his partner for dinner.
Speaking of his role, Partridge said: "I'm delighted to be joining EastEnders and playing Christian. I think he's going to upset the apple cart at the Beales'."
His first scenes are due to air in the New Year.
