In Pictures: Tanya slaps Stacey in fit of rage
Published Friday, Dec 21 2007, 00:02 GMT | By Kris Green
EastEnders' Tanya Branning's seemingly perfect Walford life is completely shattered when her husband Max's infidelity is revealed on Christmas Day.
With Max (Jake Wood) and Tanya's (Jo Joyner) son Oscar having just been born, the family's blissful existence soon grinds to an abrupt halt when Bradley and Stacey's wedding video is played, exposing Max and Stacey's year-long affair.
Unbeknown to Max, his daughter Lauren (Madeline Duggan) planted the wedding day video camera in the bedroom that Stacey used to dress for the nuptials.
As the DVD is played, the Slaters and Brannings watch in disbelief as Max appears in the room and kisses Stacey.
As our pictures show, Tanya reaches boiling point and slaps her daughter-in-law Stacey around the face.
Speaking of the storyline, Jo Joyner explained: "Everyone's in shock and nobody's quite sure if they've heard it right."
She added: "Dot's there, Mo's there, there's a whole room full of people. Tanya's just in utter shock because it's the first time she's actually seen physical proof and there's no getting away from it – her usual denial and his usual way of talking her round just can't happen."

These scenes will air on Christmas Day at 8pm on BBC One.
