Walford actress struggled with kissing scene

EastEnders star Samantha Janus has admitted that her first kissing scene with co-star Scott Maslen made her feel "really uncomfortable".

The actress, who plays Ronnie Mitchell, revealed that she now copes better when she is required to be intimate with her real-life best friend Scott, better known as Jack Branning on the soap.

"We know each other really well," Samantha explained in an interview with Jonathan Ross. "Our first kissing scene felt really uncomfortable, it was terrible, but we're over it now."

Janus also spoke about how her co-star Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) likes to treat his fellow cast-members with unusual presents.

"He gave me a present of some lovely eggs, because he's got chickens," she said, "but he asked for the carton back!"
