Tanya out for revenge in 'EastEnders'

Tanya Branning is to drug her cheating husband and bury him alive in EastEnders.

The heartbroken mum (Jo Joyner) is out for revenge after she discovered Max's (Jake Wood) affair with daughter-in-law Stacey (Lacey Turner) on Christmas Day.

She hatches a plan which sees her seduce and drug him, then place him in a coffin and bury it in woods. The ordeal resurrects painful memories for Max, as his father Jim Branning (John Bardon) buried him alive as a child.

A BBC source told The Sun: “Viewers will have to wait to find out whether Max lives or dies.”

The couple’s relationship is becoming increasingly fraught as they battle for custody of children Abi, Lauren and baby Oscar.

Joyner, 29, said: “Tanya is worried Max could take the kids. He’s capable of being nasty to get what he wants. He disgusts Tanya, she doesn’t want him back - and feels he is out to hurt her because of that.”
