Janus injury disrupts 'Enders filming

EastEnders filming was disrupted yesterday after Samantha Janus was rushed to hospital.

The actress suffered a fractured shoulder after she fell down the stairs at her home when she was rushing to leave for work. She was recovering last night after being told to take it easy by doctors.

Samantha had been due on set to continue filming for a major storyline, which sees her character Ronnie Mitchell dating old boyfriend Jack Branning, played by Scott Maslen.

A source told The Sun: "Sam was due on set yesterday, so we had to cancel her scenes. We don't know how long it will take her to recover."

A spokeswoman for the soap said: "We hope Sam feels better soon."
