The 44-year-old, who played the popular Alfie Moon in the soap from 2002 to 2005, told Woman magazine: "I'd love to go back to EastEnders. I'm looking forward to the day a call comes from the producers saying: 'We want Alfie to return!'
"Barbara Windsor is always telling me he should come back. But who knows?"
Richie's new quiz show Don't Forget The Lyrics, in which participants are tested on their lyrical knowledge for a £250,000 prize, airs on Sky One this Sunday.
