Mad May's ironic demise

Published Friday, Jun 27 2008, 12:39 BST | By Kris Green | 3 comments
Clicking through old clips of EastEnders on YouTube, I came across Mad May's first ever scene in the Walford soap.

It's quite amusing that her first line had her saying smoking increases the chance of a 'premature death'.

Although Amanda Drew's performance as May last week was outstanding, I'm sad to see her go - but I'm sure many of you would agree that her exit was fitting for the character.

I do wonder, though, how the storyline would have panned out last year had the scripts not been changed at the last minute...

How do you think May would have left the soap if the re-write didn't happen? Did you like May's explosive exit? Let me know your thoughts using the form below!
