See the 'EastEnders' café explosion again

There's been quite a mixed reaction among fans about EastEnders' café explosion, which aired on Tuesday night.

Personally, I don't think it tops last year's gas explosion. And on that note, I'm surprised that the storyline team chose to write in another building going up in smoke courtesy of a gas leak. OK, OK, so last year's was intentional and this year's looks like it was an accident - or was it?
Many fans are also pleased with the demise of Nick Cotton as, while his 'Ello Ma' return at Christmas showed great potential, viewers weren't keen on history repeating itself with the poisoning and not overly impressed with John Altman's portrayal of the show's iconic 'panto villain' Nick Cotton.
Because I enjoyed last year's so much and since Amanda Drew's performance as 'Mad' May Wright was so compelling, here's last year's blast again.

What spoiled this storyline for me was Nick surviving the explosion.

Nick is Just one of the worst actors EVER!!! Really messed the storyline for me the man just cannot act.... Mad May on the other hand was GOOOD!! I liked how she came back and exploded the house it was really sad to watch.. this year Nick just messed it up..But Bradley is amazing :)

absolutely no comparison to last years explosion, it was too unrealistic, he had a stick and yet no one took him down earlier

I thought last years was a lot different, it had a lot of storylines that linked with the parent /child story i.e Ian and Lucy, Abi and her parents, Keith's story as well. This years was more Nick flipping out, and his initial intention wasnt for the place to blow up.

In my opinion the blast this year was better than last but that's what i think. Also i am pleased that Nick Cotton is now gone but he is not dead so no doubt we will get a ''Happy Easter Ma'' or something like that soon!
