Archie Mitchell returns: "Hello Peggy..."

Since he walked out of Walford in April, we knew Archie Mitchell - played by Larry Lamb - would be back.
Within days of his disappearing from our screens, information about the deceitful Mitchell's summer return surfaced, questioning whether he would be a reformed man or not.
One thing's for sure, his wife Peggy (Barbara Windsor) isn't prepared in the slightest when she goes to turn The Vic's burglar alarm off and turns to find her estranged husband standing on the stairs. He utters: "Hello Peggy..."
Surely the Walford landlady won't fall for his charms again, will she?
She wouldn't... would she?
These scenes air on Thursday, July 9 at 7.30pm and Friday, July 10 at 8pm on BBC One.

Can't believe Archie is back, LL is such a puppet, no strong acting skills at all. Almost as bad as the guy who plays Lucas. I am switching off once again, back to Hollyoaks we go,.. at least they are all wooden in that, so it doesn't show so much. Good luck with the Baby Hev, Minty WILL make a fine Dad!

She so will fall for it all. I bet he worms his way right back in. I reckon there's loads more dirt to come up with this family yet and next time he leaves it will be the last we see of him cos the evil man gets his comeuppance.

Absolutely brilliant character. I'm glad that Archie is returning as he has so many layers but he keeps everything hidden which shows in the Character , so you don't know what he is going to do next so I wonder whats going to happen when Archie returns...

So glad Archie is back - we can get rid of that Jack/Ronnie baby crap and have some proper drama back on the show - i hope its for a long period that Larry is back he really is a legend and he has made the character of Archie just brilliant!! Get the feeling EE are only bringing him back to kill him off though!!

Oh god more Mitchells I'm finished with Enders since Danielle died then Jack is an awful actor and I hope Scott Maslen dies so we never have to see him again

glad to hear he's back as he is a pivotal character in the mitchell family and I love to loathe him !! Hopefully we will finally see Ronnie gain her revenge for his treatment of danielle as EE have let us down big time by not dealing with the fallout from dan's death in an explosive fashion. They are ruining ronnie's character with this whole on/off with jack business. I would like to see her fool archie into believing she has forgiven him but only to take him down ultimately

Wow, it's going to be huge! I'm sure the "Hello Peggy..." will become as famous as Dirty Den's "Hello Princess!" or Nick Cotton's "Hello 'Ma!" I'm really looking forward to seeing Archie's return to Albert Square... and Sam's too!

I agree with previous comment. There is only so much suffering you want to see a character go through so would be nice to see Ronnie happy. I have actually stopped watching as much since Danielle was killed as wanted a happy ending. I don't enjoy watching miserable story lines.
