BBC Three to air 'EastEnders' Sam Mitchell special

To mark Danniella Westbook's return to Walford as Peggy Mitchell's (Barbara Windsor) little princess Sam, BBC Three is to air a one-hour spinoff titled EastEnders - The Return of Sam Mitchell.

Airing at 8.30pm on Friday, September 11, the 60-minute special follows Danniella during her first few days back on set, while also delving into the archives to revisit the last 20 years of highs and lows of her character.

In April, EastEnders bosses announced Danniella's return to the BBC soap, despite actress Kim Medcalf being the last actress to play the part.
