'Who Kills Archie?': The Potential Suspects

Unless you've been living in a cave over the last couple of months, you'll know that Archie will be brutally murdered in The Vic on Christmas Day in EastEnders.
Following his murder, the one question that will be on everyone's lips until February 19 will be 'Who Killed Archie?'
Until then, here's a non-exhaustive list of the suspects for Archie's (Larry Lamb) murder along with some fictional odds. Cast you vote as to who you think kills Archie using the voting form at the bottom of this page.
Name: Ronnie Mitchell
Relation: Daughter
Motive: Revenge. She hates Archie's guts. She blames him for their mother's departure, forcing her to give up her baby when she was 14, Danielle's death… The list is endless…
Odds: Evens
Name: Janine Butcher
Relation: Fiancée
Motive: Revenge. Janine discovers that Archie's been double-crossing her and that he's been using her all along to get his hands on The Vic. She may, however, just kill him so she can have The Vic all to herself.
Odds: 6/4
Name: Peggy Mitchell
Relation: Wife
Motive: Revenge. Archie turned her life upside down when his manipulative, controlling behaviour was exposed back in April on their wedding day. Archie also takes control of The Vic and throws them out on Christmas Eve - Peggy wants her pub back.

Name: Phil Mitchell
Relation: Nephew-come-stepson
Motive: Phil didn't kill Archie before when his mother asked him to. Instead, he allowed Archie to leave Walford a lonely man. Phil may want to prove to his mother that he's as much of a son to her as Grant.

Name: Grant Mitchell
Relation: Nephew-come-stepson
Motive: Peggy's been backwards and forwards to Spain since the Mitchells' finances took a turn for the worse. Grant will have heard all the horror stories from Peggy and unable to see Archie tear his family apart any more, returns from Spain to do Phil's dirty work.

Name: Jack Branning
Relation: None
Motive: Revenge. Jack's never seen eye-to-eye with Archie. He previously asked Jack to help orchestrate Sam's disappearance from the Square and when Jack refused to help, Archie exposed his affair with Sam. Jack's also never liked the way that Archie's treated Ronnie.

Name: Ryan Malloy
Relation: None
Motive: Jealousy. As Janine's love interest, Ryan's never been happy with Janine's involvement with Archie. Although he's subtly helped Archie along the way, Ryan could have been lulling him into a false sense of security.

Name: Ian Beale
Relation: None
Motive: Revenge. Archie blackmailed Ian into selling him the Mitchells' debts so he could take control of The Vic. Ian was furious because his half-brother Ben had his roof taken from over him. Ian was also made to look the bad man to the Mitchells when he was only helping them out in the first place. There's also footage of Ian in bed with Janine floating around.

Relation: Daughter
Motive: Roxy's always been a daddy's girl but after Archie's treatment of the rest of the Mitchells (throwing them out of The Vic on Christmas Eve), Roxy may want revenge. She may also want revenge for the way he's treated Ronnie and Peggy.

Name: Lucas Johnson
Relation: None
Motive: He has form. Archie could find out about Lucas's handy work with Trina and Owen. Lucas may lose control again and kill for a third time.

Motive: Stacey's bipolar could spiral out of control again, causing her to unleash her fury on Archie. After all, just before she was sectioned, she accused Archie of trying to kill her with Ryan's help.

Motive: Fed up with Archie's controlling nature, Glenda fled to Australia leaving her daughters Ronnie and Roxy behind. On hearing that he's remarried, Glenda may have returned to ensure Peggy doesn't suffer the same life she did. Or exact her own revenge after all these years. She may not be around for Christmas Day - well, not that we know of…

Motive: Revenge. Sam could order Archie's murder form afar after Peggy calls to inform her what Archie's done to the family. Realising that Archie orchestrated her departure from Walford for self-gain, Sam could order a hit man to bump him off.

Motive: Pat's never liked Archie. As Peggy's best friend, Pat's been watching Archie and how he's been treating his wife. Pat may snap and exact her revenge on her friend's behalf.

Motive: None. Darren was Heather's Baby Daddy, though. Anything's possible in soapland.

I think it was either Sam because had the nail thing and she found out what she had done to her family and decided to repay them aswell as she is hiding in that skank flat, obviously she is hiding something because ronnie,janine and phil ( other potential suspects ) are walking around like they are not hiding anything and when sam is found she knows she is going to go to jail anyway because she breached her rules or something like that.

I think its Ronnie, the only one that wasn't preparing a weapon tonight. She had obvious reasons but then again, this is Eastenders - The result will be the least expected.

janine left with a knife , phill left with a crow bar bradley already punched him, ian only went in for the laptop but could get framed for it, so it could be peggy , jack , or ronnie but i would like grant to come back and smash his brains in lol

uhh not sure but might be ryan when janine gets kicked out of the pub (depending if she gets hurt ALOT, then ryan will want revenge if not he might just talk with him or something like that) ian doesnt have it in him peggy wont do it - to obvious phil wont do it(although he might hurt him) - to obvious pat wont do it - just not in her(unless it was her family) glenda wont do it - just not in her stacey wont do it - shes controlled by bradley atm roxy wont do it - to innocent ronnie might do it - once she gets out of hospital she might flip when she sees him jack stops her then she might plan his death. lucas wont do it - i cant see archie bribing lucas about trina grant might do it - giving him a nice little entrance back into eastenders wether it be the same actor the bring in or not he should(although i can only see him punching the living daylights outa him not whacking him over the head killing him) jack wont do it - he just has to much to lose although not sure actually. sam wont do it - shes all talk and no action too soft daniels odds speak for emself unless you guys can see eastenders going all sci-fi on us and bringing zombies into walford LOL.

Judging by all 16 names mentioned it could be any of them, Like they state, Lucas could kill for a third time, Stacey's biopalar disorder may spiral out of control again who knows? But the most likely suspects have to be Ronnie, Janine, Peggy, Phil, and Grant who knows, could it be Jack or Ryan? We'll just have to wait and see!
