'EastEnders' Mandy seeks Lucy truce - Spoiler Pictures

EastEnders' Mandy Salter tries desperately to get on good terms with future stepdaughter Lucy Beale next week - concerned that their feud is spiralling out of control.

When Lucy deliberately pours coffee over Mandy's wedding dress in an upcoming episode, Mandy is left furious over the teenager's antics - before facing frustration when Ian refuses to believe that his daughter would do such a thing on purpose.

Mandy's (Nicola Stapleton) anger later escalates when she discovers that Lucy has convinced an oblivious Heather (Cheryl Fergison) and Andrew (Ricky Grover) to tie the knot on the same day as her and Ian's wedding - leaving the Square's residents torn over which ceremony to attend.

Losing her temper in front of shocked punters at the Queen Vic, Mandy flies at Lucy (Hetti Bywater) and has to be dragged away by Andrew before she does any damage.



To Mandy's dismay, she finds herself painted as the bad guy in the situation as Lucy expertly plays the victim in the aftermath of their clash.

Dot (June Brown) later steps in to offer some advice to Mandy, reminding her that while joining a family isn't easy, Lucy also has it tough with only one parent left - so she'll have to work hard to prove that she can be a good mother.

Taking this on board, Mandy has an unexpected heart-to-heart with Lucy - revealing details of her past and promising that she only has good intentions when it comes to Ian (Adam Woodyatt). Will Mandy's efforts bear fruit?



EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, February 6 and Tuesday, February 7 on BBC One.
