Lucy (Hetti Bywater) has struggled to forgive Ian ever since he returned to Walford following his disappearing act. However, a discussion with Sharon Rickman finally makes her see sense in an upcoming episode.
When a frustrated Lucy complains that Ian (Adam Woodyatt) has asked for the afternoon off work, the young businesswoman is left stunned as Sharon reveals that it's because he has an appointment with a mental health assessor.
Ian has failed to tell Lucy that he is seeking professional help over his fragile mental state, so the news is a bolt out of the blue for her.
Later, as Lucy catches up with her dad at the café, she shows a sudden change in attitude by asking him how his appointment went.
Ian is mortified to realise that Lucy is now fully aware of his current situation, but it seems that it could be for the best when she vows to support him every step of the way from now on.
