Stars from EastEnders, Holby City and Hollyoaks named some of their favourite soap storylines of the past year at the Inside Soap Awards this week.

Chatting to Digital Spy on the red carpet at the event, cast members praised the EastEnders live Olympic special, Sharon's Walford return and the dark events of Hollyoaks Later among the highlights of the past 12 months.

The Inside Soap Awards, sponsored by online fashion retailer boohoo.com, were held at One Marylebone in London.

EastEnders was the big winner on the night, taking home seven prizes including 'Best Soap'.
