Alfie (Shane Richie) makes the big decision as he realises that it's time to make a fresh start and focus on his future with new girlfriend Roxy Mitchell.

Hoping to break the news gently, Alfie asks Kat (Jessie Wallace) to come to the Queen Vic that evening so they can talk.
Kat wonders what it could be about, and when Bianca suggests that Alfie still cares for her, Kat dares to hope that they could still have a chance as a couple.
This optimism doesn't last long, however, as Kat is stunned when she meets up with Alfie and he explains that he wants to end their marriage.

Kat is devastated and tells Alfie that they could still make things work, but Alfie explains that he can no longer trust her, which means they have no future...
