Sharon, played by Letitia Dean, is targeted after hosting a successful cocktail-making event at The Albert.
The big night for the business causes tension between Sharon and her partner Phil Mitchell when he books door staff without consulting her.
Sharon is irritated further when she discovers that her young barman Johnny Carter has served alcohol to the security men while they're on duty, so she sends them home early.
Later, once everyone has left the bar, Johnny heads upstairs to get his coat while Sharon prepares to lock up.
However, at that moment, a terrifying incident unfolds as two masked men suddenly smash their way into the bar and attack Sharon as a frightened Johnny hides upstairs…

Over on Coronation Street, viewers learn Andrea Beckett's secret as we finally get a glimpse of her home life.
Andrea (Hayley Tamaddon) is currently dating Lloyd Mullaney, but it seems that she may have been stringing him along when it's revealed that she has been married for 20 years.
When Andrea's husband Neil returns from a trip to Nigeria, he suggests that they should spend the morning in bed together - and she lets him believe that all is well with their relationship.
The on-screen bombshell comes just as Lloyd is hoping that Andrea will take their romance a step further by moving in with him.
A panic-stricken Andrea is forced to tell Lloyd that this isn't what she wants - and while Lloyd is as understanding as ever, his daughter Jenna can't help but be suspicious…

Coming up on Emmerdale, Donna Windsor starts to regret her new life of crime when bad boy Ross Barton takes things way too far.
Upcoming episodes see Donna (Verity Rushworth) tip Ross off about a jewellers which would be an easy target for a raid.
Ross (Michael Parr) follows this lead alone on the day that Donna and April are both being christened in the local church, but the robbery attempt goes terribly wrong when the owner George confronts him with a baseball bat.
Soon afterwards, while the christening is under way in the village, Donna is distracted by a number of frantic texts from Ross. In the end, she makes her excuses to leave the church so that she can meet up with her partner in crime.
Donna is horrified when Ross tells her what has happened, but when she checks out the scene for herself, she is disgusted to see that he has seriously hurt George.
Once George is rushed to hospital and the police get involved, Donna gets the inside track on the situation and learns that George may never wake up as a result of his injuries.
Realising that she could be in deep trouble if her involvement comes to light, Donna urges April to pack her bags as they're leaving the village again.
As Donna later tries to say some surreptitious goodbyes, an alarmed Ross overhears and cottons on. Will he stop her from fleeing?

Over on Doctors, there's an awkward moment for Emma Reid when she is forced to endure a double date with her former lover Howard Bellamy.
The situation arises when Emma (Dido Miles) and Howard accidentally end up at the same restaurant when they head out for dinner with their respective love interests Adam and Annie.
Adam makes the suggestion that they should all sit together and get to know each other, but when the conversation moves towards relationships at work, Emma and Howard reluctantly admit their past history.
With Adam unsure of how this matches up to what he already knows about Emma, she is forced to admit that she had an open marriage when her disabled husband Sam was still alive.
Howard jumps to Emma's defence by trying his best to clarify the situation, but she is mortified by the scrutiny and may have just ruined her relationship with Adam for good…
