Ian's Haunting: The Final Chapter

Published Wednesday, Sep 19 2007, 11:05 BST | By Kris Green | 49 comments
Here are the final three pictures which show the moments before Ian Beale's stalker is finally revealed.

In Friday night's unmissable episode, Ian is lured to a derelict block of flats by the mystery person and sees an open window near the top.

Ignoring the safety warnings inside, the Walford entrepreneur makes his way up the stairs and is stunned to be confronted by a mannequin dressed in a hoodie.

Disturbed by the sight, Ian continues his search and soon hears Sinead O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares To You' blaring from a doorway.

Searching the flat, he finds a laptop playing the music. He quickly turns it off and continues into the next room. He's chilled when the music starts up again and stunned to the core when he finds a shrine of pictures dedicated to Cindy - with his face crossed and cut out of them all.

Freaked by the situation, Ian turns to head back to his car but is floored when he sees who is standing in front of him...

There have been endless threads on the forums surrounding the identity of Ian's stalker and it's comforting to know that there's still plenty of mystery and uncertainty. I for one have been enthralled with the storyline and promise you won't be disappointed with the outcome...

Who do you think the stalker is? Let me know by sending me 'Your Views' below.

I don't think he said "Tommy" but "It cant be" which would be his recognises the person. I am sure it is Steven Beale - can't wait for Friday!

At the end of Friday's episode, Ian definately said 'Tommy' im pretty sure that means it cant be Steven!! Does anyone know who Tommy is though? If it is one of Cindy's sprogs we would have had to see him on the square years ago otherwise Ian wouldnt know who he is?!

The question on everyone's lips lol. Who is Tom? Isn't that the name Ian used when he saw his tormentor? I heard that Tom is Cindy's son who was born after she had an affair with Wicks and he blames Ian for his mother's death. Its a puzzle that's for sure!!

I think it is Steven as well, but it would be so good if it was Cindy...

Heya! Thanks for adding the comment.. It's definitely Steven Beale! Go to Wickipedia people! There's a picture of him right there!

It cannot be Cindy as she died in prison in childbirth and surely the prison would not fake a death.

What a great episode last night. I think Ian "it can't be" at the end when he saw Steven. I am suprised that Wicksy hasn't contacted Pat if Steven has gone missing. I don't think its over yet.

It is Steven Beale. If you look at Wikipedia under Steven Beale, it gives the actor's name and shows a picture of him when he appears at the door.

The actor was Aaron Sidwell and he is slated to play Steven so it's definatly him. And the song was "Sinéad O'Connor - Nothing compares To You"
Simon, Lake District, on September 22nd, 2007
Song playing on the laptop was 'Nothing compares To You' by Sinead O'Connor

Did Ian not call the lad Tommy at the end of the episode? Or did I hear things? Who is Tommy?
Sharon, Glasgow, on September 21st, 2007
The song on the laptop was 'Nothing Compares To You' by Sinead O'Connor,
Chris, on September 21st, 2007
Anyone know what song was playing on the laptop?
Teresa, Essex., on September 21st, 2007
I think it's another son of Cindy's from another man she may of been with at some point. Who knows what she must have got up to?

I think it's Lucy helping Steven, she's been an evil little minx for a while now (or just a normal stroppy teenager??) But Gina fits in somewhere too, doesn't she? Or otherwise her character wouldn't have surfaced.... the thot plickens!
Sarah, South Wales, on September 21st, 2007
I've watched the episode and I'm 99% sure its Craig, Lucy's ex-boyfriend but I thought that he had been arrested for attempted murder on Patrick Trueman?
Tricia, Scotland, on September 21st, 2007
Watched episode tonight looking forward to finding out after all the build up to it. STILL DON'T KNOW, WHO IS HE!!
Jo Shields, on September 21st, 2007
When Steven went to live with Simon all those years ago, Pat gave him loads of photos in a box of his mum and Ian when they got married etc and Ian Gave him lots of family photos too... If I remember the words rightly 'These are for you son and if you ever get lonely you can come back to us here (in/with) your memories and think of all the good times'. Its definitely Steven but I don't know why he would want to kidnap Peter and Lucy, too, as he does next week after he has kidnapped Ian.
