Archie begs Peggy for another chance
Peggy's aghast at Archie's sudden return and throws him out of the pub as the locals watch on. When Roxy turns up, Peggy realises that she was the one who invited her father back to Walford. Furious, Peggy tries to make the point that she's moved on since his departure and heads over to the handsome stranger called Hugo who she'd previously been flirting with. Hugo, however, admits that he's not living locally and that he's a letting agent - Archie's letting agent. Archie takes pleasure in revealing that he's letting one of Hugo's houses. Livid, Peggy storms off.

Archie follows Peggy upstairs, but she suggests that he leave before Phil returns. Archie, however, begins to cry and Roxy jumps to her dad's defence. Fuming that Roxy orchestrated Archie's return, she begins packing her niece's belongings, before throwing her out with her dad. Taking cover in their new home, Archie confesses to his daughter that he's been depressed on his own. Attempting to talk Peggy round, Roxy returns to The Vic and pleads with her to give her dad a second chance. Peggy, however, doesn't want to know and demands that she leave her keys on the bar and go.

Later, Peggy has a heart-to-heart with Pat, who points out that it must mean something to have kept her wedding ring. Pat suggests that her old friend should be honest with herself about her true feelings for her husband. Peggy's fuming by Pat's suggestion and throws her out, but it's not long before she calls Roxy and agrees to meet with Archie - on her terms.

Meanwhile, Heather counters Shirley's suggestion that Minty's the father of her baby. Shirley, however, arranges for Minty to be in The Vic at lunchtime but she's not impressed when Manda turns up. Shirley verbally attacks Minty, before knocking him to the ground with a punch. With that, Heather exclaims that Minty isn't the father of her child. The pub falls silent as Heather breaks down. While suggestions as to the father's identity ricochet up and down the bar, Heather confirms that she's having a baby girl and that it's due in November. She also insists that nobody knows the father. Heather storms out of The Vic to the Launderette. While there, Manda calls, pledging her support. Despite the day's events, Shirley continues to question Heather about the father back at the flat, but a frustrated Heather walks out.

Elsewhere, Jordan prepares to leave home to live with Trina; Jane argues with Ian that a children's talent show with a cash prize is wrong; Jordan goes missing following an argument with his dad; Trina accuses Denise and Lucas of being careless with Jordan; Janine rumbles Ian's covert operation; Lucas is angry by Trina's behaviour and goes to call Social Services, but Denise reminds him that they need to keep her sweet to secure his divorce; Jane's disgusted to see that Ian's dressed Bobby up as a cowboy for the talent show; and in the café, Trina tells Jordan that it's only a matter of time before his dad joins them…
