Lucas and Owen come to blows

Lucas bumps into Owen outside the Minute Mart and reminds him that although Libby's cooking them all lunch, not to expect anything more than that. Owen later tells his mother that his stay in Walford's not working out as he'd expected but he's managed to broker peace with Libby and at least speak to Denise. Liz, however, suggests that Owen shouldn't be intimidated by Lucas and commends him for dealing with a difficult situation in a calm and adult manner. Meanwhile, Libby excitedly prepares for dinner and while Denise asks Chelsea to be civil with Owen, Lucas reassures them that Owen won't be a permanent fixture. Owen eventually turns up and over dinner, he proposes a toast to Libby's cooking skills. Denise and Owen then begin to reminisce about one of her cooking disasters, while Lucas watches on seething at the connection Denise has with her ex.

Afterwards, Libby returns to Oxford and Denise congratulates Owen on his new job at Earls Court. Lucas then asks Owen to go for a walk with him. Frustrated by Owen's presence in his family's lives, Lucas tells him that he can't be trusted, before punching him in the stomach and instructing him to repent his sins. Spouting biblical quotes at Owen and claiming that Denise is now 'his', Lucas tells him to leave Walford for good and never return. Owen, however, manages to escape Lucas's clutches and turn the tables on his attacked, pinning the pastor against the wall. Owen's adamant that he's staying where he is and won't be driven away…

Meanwhile, Shirley's at the Minute Mart flicking through baby magazines and Pat asks whether Heather's revealed who the baby's father is. Back at the flat, Darren's holding baby George as Shirley returns and she makes the sudden realisation that he's the father. Shirley demands the truth from Heather and she reluctantly admits that Darren's the daddy. Billy hammers on the front door of the flat and says that Heather agreed to rent the spare room to him and Jay. Later, Darren tells Shirley that he wants to set things right, but Shirley tells him to back off and threatens to tell Denise the truth if he doesn't. Inside, Heather's sure that Darren would make a great father, but Shirley warns her otherwise. Heather, however, doesn't want to forbid Darren from seeing his son or for people to assume that she's a lesbian with Shirley.
