Awaiting Lucas's return, Denise and Jordan discuss the impending court case. Jordan's adamant that they should tell the truth. At court, Denise reveals to Phil and Shirley that Jordan's changed his statement. The court, however, refers Ben's case to Crown Court. Over fish and chips, Phil and Ben discuss the worst case scenario, if Ben was sentenced to time in a detention centre. Ben attempts to cover his fear but it's clear he's immensely worried about the prospect. Later, Shirley and Denise toast the day's events just as Lucas bursts in, kissing Denise in front of the locals. On learning that Jordan's changed his statement, Lucas admits that he's proud of them both for doing the right thing.

Meanwhile, Darren desperately attempts to avert Jodie's attention from the Car Lot in the hope that she doesn't spot her mother in a passionate embrace with Max. Backtracking on his earlier claim that he owns the Car Lot, Darren concedes that it's more of a joint venture with Max. Jodie, however, insists that he doesn't have to make things up to impress her. Inside the office, Vanessa tries to entice Max back on the floor for round two! Later, Darren reveals to Max that Vanessa's married and furious that she didn't come clean, Max confronts her. Vanessa, however, is firm - it's his choice if he wants to see her again. In The Vic, Max and Darren toss coins to settle whether they'll continue seeing Vanessa and Jodie. Darren wins, while Max makes Darren believe he lost, meaning he will stop romancing Jodie's mum. When his phone rings, though, Max can't help but answer and promptly leaves to meet Vanessa again.
Elsewhere, Billie's farewell meal with Carol and Whitney is strained; and as Billie leaves for his train, he asks Carol to look after Whitney.
