By Daniel Kilkelly In the aftermath of the funeral, Kat continues to hide away from the world and shuts herself up in her room. Charlie heads up with a cup of tea for his daughter, but he provokes an angry response from her as she's still struggling to cope. Kat speaks candidly about how she still resents her mother for taking Zoe away all those years ago, and it's not long until she turns her anger to Charlie. When he starts pleading with her, Kat admits that she can't stand the sight of him, so he decides to leave her alone.
Returning home, Charlie packs a suitcase with the intention of leaving Walford, but his decision upsets Mo and she tries to convince him to stay. As Mo heads over to The Vic to tell Kat what's going on, Charlie leaves his keys behind at home and closes the door behind him. When Kat hears that her father is leaving the Square, she says that she's glad about the news, but Alfie soon convinces her to go after him. The pair eventually reconcile at the Tube station, but Charlie is adamant that it's best for him to leave and explains that he's going to stay with Lynne. He then steps onto the train for his journey.
Meanwhile, a number of young women arrive at the Argee Bhargee as interviews are taking place for the waitress job. Zuleka is among the candidates for the job, and when she chats to Tamwar, she lets slip that his parents seem to be interviewing for his future wife rather than simply looking for a waitress. Annoyed by the news, Tamwar confronts Zainab and Masood, but they can't see what the fuss is about as they're merely trying to help.
Elsewhere, Carol apologises to Tiffany for losing her temper, but reiterates that whatever she thinks she has discovered is just in her imagination.
