At the same time, Phil has instructed Ben to stay close to Lucy in case Ian gets in contact with her - still fearful that the troubled businessman could reveal the truth about Heather's murder. That evening at the party, Ben watches a manic Lucy throw Mandy's belongings into a bin bag and prepare to set it alight. However, as Lucy searches the drawers for a match, she's horrified to find Ian's passport. Lucy then reveals to an uneasy Ben that Ian can't be on honeymoon - so where is he?

Soon afterwards, Michael backs Janine, branding Jean a 'sad' and 'deluded' woman to her face. In private, however, he tells Jean that he only said those hurtful words because she broke his confidence with regard to the chain and his late mother. Jean is keen to be friends again, but only on the condition that Michael will let her invest a further £10,000 of The Vic's money into the boxing club - fooled by his claims that the financial arrangement is working out really well. Michael is starting to feel guilty about what he's doing, but he reluctantly agrees.
Elsewhere, Derek decides to write a letter to Alice and is furious to discover that Tanya was the one who scared her off at the party, while Andrew agrees to stay at Patrick's after they visit Heather's graveside together.
