Soon afterwards, Janine tries to get information from Billy about what Michael is up to. Later that day, an oblivious Michael returns home and is greeted by a 'Stepford wife'-style Janine. However, with Michael out of earshot and eyeshot, it's clear that this is just a front as Janine's smile fades. No longer trusting Michael, what does she have planned for him?
Meanwhile, it's business as usual back at The Vic following a successful fumigation. With the guilt of her affair becoming too much, Kat bins the key to the secret bedsit, hoping to eliminate temptation. However, an unknowing Jean returns the discarded key to the bar as lost property - and it's not long before it disappears as someone claims it.
Later, Alfie discovers that Kat has some new lingerie. Failing to realise that it was originally planned for her lover, Alfie arranges a romantic night in - but this is quickly cancelled when Tommy refuses to settle. Soon afterwards, Kat gets a text message from her snubbed lover, which says: "I get the message. Maybe in another life." Deciding to forget her guilt for the time being, Kat eventually replies to the text to arrange another meeting with her admirer…
Elsewhere, Derek boasts to his brothers about winning the antiques emporium in his recent poker game. However, Alice isn't best pleased about Derek's involvement in Anthony's departure, questioning whether he has a good bone in his body. Keen to prove himself, Derek apologises to Ian for his bullying of Lucy and buys every last piece of fruit and veg from his stall. After handing his purchases out to shocked pensioners, Derek buys Ian countless drinks at the pub. Will Alice be impressed?
