Bianca remains worried following yesterday's visit from the police, and she tells Kat that she suspects Liam is being picked on because of the state of his trainers, which would explain why he hates going to school. Things are looking up for the market stall business when Bianca gets her hands on some cheap stock from an old mate, but a call from Liam's school soon dampens the mood - he hasn't turned up again. When Bianca looks for Liam in McKlunkys, she confides in Shirley over the situation and receives some reassurance from her. As Bianca leaves, Liam enters the fast food restaurant and Shirley urges him to go home and listen to his mum.

However, Liam winds her up by suggesting that there's not much she can do about his truanting. Bianca threatens to walk him into the classroom herself if she has to, and a blazing row follows between the pair as Liam declares that she knows nothing about him after being in prison for half his life. Taunting Bianca, Liam throws £10 at her, saying that he earns more than her and can buy his own trainers next time. When he also complains about the cheap beans she buys, Bianca finally loses it - flying at Liam and pinning him up against the wall…
