Abi and Ben's plan fails

Convinced Tanya is hurting Laura, Abi and Ben head off with Guinea pigs Marge and Marge Two. Abi, however, notices that Marge is acting strangely and forces Ben to make a stop off to see Fin the vet. But Fin calls Tanya who is furious at what she's hearing, so sends Max to pick them both up. When the runaways return, Max, Tanya and Stella wait to hear what's been going on. But Tanya is shocked that Stella is taking it all in her stride. Back at home, however, Stella smashes a photograph of his mum Kathy and tells Ben that he can't speak to Abi ever again.

After a chat about the facts of life with Tanya, Abi heads across the Square and throws a stone at the top Vic window. Ben looks out as Abi shouts that what he's going through isn't meant to be happening…

Meanwhile, Denise is struggling to cover her embarrassment after Zainab caught her slagging her off the day before. Denise apologises and Zainab accepts – but is she wants a promotion, she'll have to apply like everybody else!

Elsewhere, Jay's having problems with Degsey and his crew, especially when Yolande bosses him about in front of them; and Wellard's kidnapper is revealed.
