Ian's stalker is revealed
Ian reads the text from 'Cindy' and heads out to meet his stalker. When he gets to the park, he sees a poster on the wall which reads 'Cindy playing live tonight'. Back at home, Jane is sitting at the computer and reads an e-mail from the travel agents confirming his booking to South Africa.

When Ian returns to his car, there's a note on his windscreen which instructs him to enter the
postcode on the note into his sat nav system. When he gets there, he's confronted with a derelict high-rise block of flats and, despite the safety warnings, heads up the stairs to the top floor. As Ian searches the flat, Ian begins to panic when music starts blaring out from one of the rooms. He sees family photos with his picture having been torn from them. When he turns around to leave, he's stunned by who is staring back at him in the doorway…

Meanwhile, Kevin refuses to move out of the way of the taxi in a bid to prevent Denise from leaving Walford. Furious at Deano, Chelsea gets out of the taxi and floors him. Denise tells the taxi driver that she'll be 10 minutes and takes Deano inside. In the meantime, the taxi leaves and Denise
is livid. Will she ever make it off the Square?

Elsewhere, Jay learns of his father's criminal past and is later found by the police carving the word 'LIAR' on the bus stop. After revealing his maths test score to his father, Jay storms out. Infuriated, Jase smashes the mirror in the flat.

I have watched it twice and it definitely sounded like Tom or Dom - which leaves me baffled as I have watched it since day one all those years ago and haven't a clue. Maybe its another looney employee who has worked for Ian for years but we have never seen...... or maybe I have forgotten like I didn't remember Cindy having another daughter called Cindy who was featured last week when Ian visited Gina!

Well, I did have the subtitles on and Ian didn't say either Tom or Kelvin. I think it has to be Steven, because he is the only person outside Ian's immediate family who could know all the history and have access to the photos etc. Also he has the motive and it is consistent with his character. It wouldn't be a surprise if he were played by a different actor - EastEnders has often swapped actors, especially when the character is young, for example Janine Butcher. Watch the fireworks when he comes to stay!

Ian said "It can't be" when he saw the guy by the door...

Didn't Cindy have a son with some Italian bloke she was living with? Maybe it's him? Else I haven't got a clue.

The name Ian said was 'Tom'! Can't think where he comes from! Any ideas?

Steven always hated Ian after he found out that he wasn't really his son and he acted a lot like Lucy is acting now.

I reckon it's Steven who was always such a spoilt brat. I remember the storyline five years ago in which he was revealed to be the person sending poison pen letters to various people in the Square so I shouldn't be surprised if he was up to another evil trick.

Steven was the son Cindy passed off as Ian's but he was really Wickys'. He left a few years ago to be raised by his real dad. He was a little terror before he left so it'd kind of make sense.

Cindy & Simon Wicks' son. Ian brought him up with Cindy as his own then Steven found out Simon was his real dad and was last known to be living in New Zealand.

Steven is the illegitimate son of Cindy and Simon (Pat's son). He was living with Ian until a few years ago and left for New Zealand to live with Simon once he found out that he was his real father and not Ian. I hope that's cleared up your confusion. By the way, the person at the end of today's episode certainly wasn't Steven unless he is now being portrayed by a different actor!

Steven is Ian's son that went of to live in Australia with his "real" dad, David Wicks. Cindy was his mum.

I agree it's Steven. Steven is Cindy's eldest son, who for up until about the age of 13 thought Ian was his dad. He overheard Ian telling someone that he wasn't his even his son and demanded he go to see real dad Simon Wicks in New Zealand.

Steven is Cindy and Simon Wicks' son.
Chris , on September 21st, 2007
What was the music playing?
Julie, London, on September 21st, 2007
Steven is Cindy & Ian's first child but the real father was Simon Wicks now resident in N Zealand & Steven joined him over there some 5 years ago. I think the stalker is Steven-the song playing "nothing compares to you" was no 1 when Steven was first born.(may make sense?!)

Who is Steven? Please help...
Randy Walls, Pompey, on September 21st, 2007
Who the hell is Steven???
Debbie, on September 21st, 2007
Well, it wasn't Cindy was it. I think it was Steven.

At the end, Ian said: "It can't be"
