Tanya's shocked to find Rainie in the Square
Aired Monday, Jan 7 2008 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Tanya's struggling with life as a single parent. Her day goes from bad to worse when the washing machine breaks down. On the Square, Sean desperately tries to patch things up with her. He follows her into the Launderette and tells her how much she means to him. Tanya, however, knocks him
back, saying she can't trust men any more. Later, Tanya's struggling at the salon while the kids are at Dot's and Max isn't impressed when he finds out where they are.

Tanya's on her way home after shutting the salon in frustration when Stacey stops her in her tracks and tries to explain how much Sean likes her. Tanya, however, is having none of it. She later
heads across to The Vic, half-cut in the hope of apologising to Ben for ruining his Doctor Who cards by washing them. Impatient, she shouts up the stairs and an unimpressed Peggy enters the bar just as Tanya drops her money all over the floor. Embarrassed, she walks out. On her way home, she bumps into someone very familiar – her sister, Rainie…

Meanwhile, Phil's in The Vic's cellar taking his anger out on the barrels. As he leans over to pick one up, a photo of Louise falls from his pocket. He picks it up and strokes it with his finger. Later, he becomes frustrated again when he relays to Ronnie and Peggy how he saw his daughter call another man 'daddy'. While Peggy shows Roxy the clothes she'd bought Louise, Ronnie's at the club confronting Jack about 'setting
up' Phil. Jack insists that it's Phil's problem now but Ronnie is firm – there's a six-year-old in the middle of everything.

Elsewhere, Darren's struggling to cope without Kevin; Shirley finally learns who Vinnie Monks really is; Lucy's angry with the new sleeping arrangements at the Beales'; and Ian offers Steven a permanent job at the café.
