While he waits, he looks for Dot's budgie. Angry at being let down by his dad, Jay carves graffiti into the swings. When Minty confronts him, Jay's back chat leads Minty to tell him what he thinks. However, just as Minty has Jay by the scruff of the neck, Tegs and the gang arrive and chase Minty off.

While Jase has a drink in the pub with Dawn, Tegs arrives in the park as Jay continues to wait for his dad. A violent fight breaks out. Jay threatens Tegs with the knife but the pair soon laugh and carry on playing football. However, the E20 gang arrive and force Tegs to choose between them or Jay. As Tegs walks away, he gives Jay his coat back and suddenly stabs him. The gang run off leaving Jay bleeding on the ground…
