The South African-born 27-year-old, who appeared as Izzy Cornwell in the Channel 4 soap between 2000 and 2004, is to play Claire Webster, a young woman who is beaten and dumped outside a hospital in front of Sun Hill officers.
Digging into Claire's history reveals that she is currently trying to deal with spiraling debt and her attack was a warning by a group of extremely dangerous drug dealers.
The case sends D.C. Terry Perkins (Bruce Byron) undercover and eventually leads him to Germany for The Bill’s special 25th anniversary episodes, which are due to air on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 of November.
Speaking of her guest role, Du Toit said: "It was great working with the cast and crew of The Bill and lovely to be working in the same building as Ali [Bastian] again."
She added: "We lived together when we worked on Hollyoaks and have remained good friends since. Claire Webster was a really fun character to play and it was a great part."
Bastian played Hollyoaks' Becca Dean for six years before her character was brutally murdered in jail following her false imprisonment.
Du Toit's episode is scheduled to be broadcast on Thursday, November 6.
