Published Friday, Jul 17 2009, 17:59 BST | By Kris Green
ITV police drama The Bill makes its move to a 9pm post-watershed timeslot on Thursday evening and ahead of transmission, here's a clip from the first episode.
As Sergeant Stone (Sam Callis) and PC Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour) patrol the streets of London, they receive a call to an incident where teenager Danny Sissoulu (Tunji Lucas) has been beaten to a pulp. With his younger brother Kip (Mohammed Mansaray) and friend Mo Campbell (Lanre Malaolu) the only witnesses, they tell the police that Danny's attacker was a white male.
However, when Stone confronts a suspicious-looking Ollie Readshaw (Jazz Litott), he bolts from the scene. After a tragic accident, it's left to DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) to question Ollie's mother as to her son's whereabouts.
