Birds of a Feather star Pauline Quirke has flown the nest and joined the cast of ITV cop drama The Bill.
The actress starts filming for the show in a couple of weeks' time but as yet details of her mystery character are not known. It is, however, thought that she will play a part not connected with the police force.
An insider told The Sun: "Pauline plays a semi-regular character for a few weeks. She is a big fan of the show."
Pauline's scenes are due to be aired late September, early October.
