'Wives' actress to guest-star in 'The Bill'

Footballers' Wives latest signing Phina Oruche, who stars as the glamorous Liberty Baker in ITV's glitzy drama, is termporarily transferring to The Bill.

She is to play the role of high flying hotshot solicitor Heather Lees, whose straight-laced attitude is challenged by cheeky DS Phil Hunter. It isn't long, however, before she falls victim to his charms.

Of her latest role, Phina said: “The Bill is a benchmark of success for me. Since I am a British girl, I grew up longing to work on something like The Bill. I am ecstatic beyond belief. Even wilder than that, it fits like a glove. They are a funny talented bunch here; I wish I could stay forever.”

The scenes will be on air at the beginning of April.
